instaoutfit. What I wore Last Monday.

WIWYYNBD (whatiworeyesterdayyeahnobigdeal). Because it’s been a while. I’m in love with these pair of socks I “borrowed” from my ex-roommate Alli one cold winter night (btw if you’re reading this I love it so much you may never get it back.) Bahahahaa.

Oh wait, one random thing: Today at the CoHo (coffee house) I asked for a sampler of the Tofu Tikka Masala & I actually really liked it but the guy infront of me took the last servings… GAAAA. I just remembered this sad part of my day, but other than that this has been one of the best winter yet (weather-wise & I guess life-wise). So happy it’s the 3 day weekend, hope everyone makes the best of it!

OH, graphic t’s. What I wore today. First week of school is already over, seriously where did time go? I’m a senior? I have to graduate and uh… what? Get a career, maybe get married, buy a house, take care of x amount of babies? Oh. No. Gotta live it up while we still can. Davis has a special place in my heart so I really need to make the best of it. :’) tear

Summer days, I love you. All moved in + still unpacking. Can’t wait to post photos of the new place.

DOMICO + I. Out & about London Town. He managed to snag two pairs of black sandals and some other stuff from Topshop before we left. How jealous am I? Yeah, a little bit.

Candy Apple Red. And details, details, details. Wish I could take that bright and happy red MBMJ bag with me but I opted to bringing my black one. Whoa, yes queued up post— right now I’m probably on a plane to London and I’m not sure when I’ll have access to wifi when I get there. Class start on Monday, I’m not quite sure what to expect!

Finale. Right before finals started, my friend Erik and I went to a dinner hosted by the campus’ textiles department. It was nice getting dressed up!

If you’re a UC Davis reader then you know why I haven’t been updating, you were probably suffering during finals week just like me (maybe you’re still suffering, then lo siento). My first final was last Saturday then I slaved away to start and finish my des15 final project all weekend. I hate all nighters, they’re totally unhealthy but it had to happen. The best part about them (real all nighters, being awake for more than 24 hours) is the deep sleep that comes after it. WHEN NOTHING AT ALL CAN WAKE YOU UP. Oh, but having a little girls night and doing a project makes things more bearable. I always tell myself this: you don’t have to pull an all nighter if you manage your time right— well isn’t that the lesson every quarter? I’m adjusting and getting better. I’ve been on a funk since then, treating myself to steak and Burgers + Brew to make up for the coffee, samoas, progresso soup meals I had all finals week. I’ve been really bad at replying to people, deliriously staring at the screen, and drowning myself in Netflix and double chocolate fudge ice cream. I finally finished A Very Long Engagement… I’m fairly confident with my last final on Thursday and I’m 95% done with junior year as an undergrad.. Whaaaaat.

Saturday in the city. A Saturday well spent. I had so much fun yesterday. Drove out to San Francisco with my good friend, Erik and did a lot of walking on Haight. I saw lots of cool stuff that I sorta wanted but didn’t get (i.e. white Ferragamo flats that made my legs look tanner, leather navy crossbody bag, black sheer button up from Wasteland). I was on the hunt for a sheer black, maybe pleated maxi skirt and some comfy summer wedges to bring abroad but didn’t find any…  Erik got these cool white leather shoes that I didn’t get to take a picture of. Wasteland was my favorite stop. It was also neat seeing interesting pieces or weird crap like taxidermied squirells dressed in clothing (I’m not a huge fan of taxidermy though). After that, we went to this huge fabric store on Mission, chilled at Dolores Park, Castro, and Berkeley. Lots of wasted gas, walking, and good conversations all day. I really wonder why I don’t have more friends in Davis like Erik. He’s one of my few friends here that’s always down to go places or do random crap. Not to mention have a decent conversation with. It’s nice to break out of the norm after a long week of school… it’s always so refreshing.

Cheers to the things you find in your mother’s closet… Editing homework photos for the rest of the night and all day tomorrow. Hmmmmm.

HELLO THERE. I wasn’t expecting the tumblr fame Brods got today (through animal blog??) so let me introduce my tumblr to my new followers! I’m Ivette, a 21 year old design student from California. I use this blog to post photos of the random things going on in my life, like this pink donut that I ate or how I spent my Tuesday.  I rant and rave about school, dreams, design, oh and of course, tell the whole world to listen to songs I am in love with. Sometimes I’ll throw in a photo or two of Brody, who seems to be the true star of this blog. Oooh Brody— My super spoiled, destructive, somewhat expensive, adorable pet who keeps me entertained (and distracted) during those long, painful hours of writing research papers…

Winter quarter is over. Conclusion: it was a really decent quarter, but I’m ready for some sunshine. I started and finished winter sick and got the flu somewhere in between. I’m looking forward to shorts, shows, and a plethora of other fun stuff. With the temperature rising, I will be biking, I promise. The downside is I might be taking more units and doing some other things that might take away my usually free weekends… I don’t know… we’ll see what happens… Regardless, spring will be the busiest quarter of all.
