Instadventures.
first row, left-right:• Sugar Daddies’ (Davis) a scoop of fresh lavender pollen with honey & a scoop of matcha green tea with sesame & almond. I would definitely recommend the lavender & green tea ice cream to anyone who lives in Davis! The lavender might sound a little bizarre but be a little more adventurous and try it out. It wasn’t too overwhelming and it tasted great with the honey. The green tea ice cream beats the shit out of the ones from your grocery store’s freezers, I promise.• my plant ‘Friend’, liquor chocolates, & diy dessert stands• my headless self “ootd”
second row, left-right:• davis weekends • $13.50 thrifted camel suede flats with pointed capped toes from Crossroads (Berkeley) • Mr. and Mrs. Miscellaneous (SF) ice cream shop. I got ‘banana foster’ and it did not disappoint!
third row, left-right: • espresso at Mishka’s (Davis) - basically if you live in Davis and haven’t been here, you need to drop by• Brody poopin’• Seche Vite with OPI’s ‘I Eat Mainely Lobster’ - SV is the best topcoat EVER.
Most of you might notice that I can’t keep up with blogging regularly, my interest have shifted quite a bit the past year and yes- although I use the internet on a regular basis I don’t find myself looking at fashion/personal/random blogs anymore (not that I had a long list in the first place— maybe it’s a temporary thing, who really knows?). So… one would say that this is a half-assed attempt of updating my blog by posting Instagram photos (the very same ones you can see on the sidebar.. hah). Initially, I barely used this app but while I was in Europe I found it very useful to document little parts of my day when I had no time to take photos with my real camera, edit on the computer and all that work. I’ve been finding myself in the same position. I honestly don’t know how “well-known” bloggers can write posts regularly because with school, two jobs, extra curriculars, and weekends with my friends I’m finding this shit impossible to do. But thanks to my friends who do read my blog (and a few randoms and ‘anons’, still, I appreciate it!)

10 December 2011 / Saturday

Bunny in my suitcase. Actually, not really. I had to drop off Brody at a pet boarding place two days ago (I miss him too, and I actually wonder how he’s doing, wahhhh I know I know).
Basically, I’ll be gone for a few weeks for winter break because I’m going to the Philippines— a place I called my home for 9 years. I’m verrrrrry excited because it’s been more than a decade. Any food/shopping/random places I should hit up?

Weekend afternoons. I don’t want the weekend to end… I want to do crafty projects or lay on the couch for a few more days and just relax. More photos of my Saturday afternoon later :)

A long way to go. School is tough, it’s gonna get tougher, but there are several things to look forward to. Tooooo stoked for November and December. THIS WILL ALL BE WORTH IT.

Morning in Santa Cruz. Spent a day there this past Saturday. Walking around the pier reminded me of the day I went to Brighton Pier minus the deep fried food and Alexa Chung spotting (I actually just found what she was shooting for, excuse the fan girl moment right now). Anyway, the whole time I was in Santa Cruz I wondered what I would be like if I had chosen to go there.. like really: who would my friends be, what would I be studying, and.. the little things like… what would my daily routines be? Minor Davis things like what would I be doing instead of walking flat land, taking the Unitrans bus, devouring Burgers & Brew, and going to the bars every Thursday? What would I be doing instead of working for the Entertainment Council and where would I have gone instead of studying abroad this summer with the design program? I can’t see myself not knowing my friends or acquaintances in Davis or what I would be other myself right now. Funny how life works out, doesn’t it? Random things just sort of happened by itself, clustered together to become one, and everything makes sense. (And sometimes, I wonder why things suck and why they had to happen). In this case, everything just feels right thanks to the road not taken.

OUTSIDE LANDS 2011, thank you for a wonderful Sunday. To make this short: Beirut was wonderful and deadmau5’s set was so so good. Great music and great vibes.

30 November 2010 / Tuesday

Approaching finals week. I’m not quite sure how I feel about these iPhone apps that mimic the look of film. When people post pictures of lomography or vintage looking photos, I often wonder, “that’s film? ahhhh impressive!”. When I find out that it’s not film but the work of a program— I am no longer as impressed. I’m not against it, I suppose it’s like playing with the colors via photoshop but instead the effects are instant and all you have to do is choose. What I really don’t like are those effects with film borders, because you’re not just playing with the photo’s effects, you’re claiming it IS film. Just a thought. I usually use my instagr.am app to make already crappy, grainy iPhone photos look somewhat interesting. I just had to get a photo of Brody flopped down like that. I read somewhere that when bunnies lay down, it means they’re extremely content. Well, I hope it’s true. AWWWWWW.

Anyway, finals week is almost here and I still have plenty of assignments to turn it this week. Eeeek! I just want to study for my finals and nothing else. In order to stay calm and feel less anxious, I am telling myself to take it one day at a time. So far it’s working because I’m all smiles today even though I am sleep deprived. I can just feel the load off my shoulders (little by little) as I cross off things in my planner. It’s a pretty good feeling.

Back to doing school work. I’m currently enjoying the Amélie soundtrack, Starbucks VIA ready brew coffee in Cinnamon Spice (it isn’t as bad as I thought!), and the darkness of my room. Good luck to those who are about to take finals!

11 November 2010 / Thursday

Guess who is sick? Even though midterms are over, I still can’t relax. Brody got extremely sick and is still recovering (I’ll elaborate later)… The night before that I left my laptop for a few seconds and Brody immediately chewed my two month old macbook charger. One small cut meant death to that charger. Hmmm thanks a lot Brody for burning a hole in my pocket this week ($160 for the vet and medicine and $80 for that charger, if it can’t be saved). Patience patience patience. If Brody wasn’t an extremely adorable bunny, I would have thrown his little ass out of my house already.

17 October 2010 / Sunday

post surgery Brody + pasta with my sisters

Lethargy for two. Argh. My weekend at home is almost over and I don’t want to go back to Davis. I am slowly figuring out what it is about being away from home for so long (like a month… lol) that makes me miss it so much. I miss the peace and quiet at 10PM. I miss the freedom of going to places by car when I feel like it instead of walking everywhere or asking someone for a ride. I miss how clean the bathroom is and the comfortable feeling of this gray room. I really don’t want to go back tomorrow. Living with five other people can take its toll. I am also sick of the paper thin walls of my pink room. I can hear cupboards violently slamming at 12AM because the kitchen is next to my room and the cupboards are opposite of my head. I used the words ‘violently slamming’ because it seriously sounds like it’s right above my head. I wish that I could sound proof the walls so I can stay there forever then maybe I could finally be at peace. My tragus piercing prevents me from wearing noise reducing headphones. My bikeless and carless self prevents me from not walking. I am just complaining.

I went to San Jose today with my sisters. The only good thing about San Jose must be Santana Row… other than that, I’m definitely not a big fan of this city. I felt a great deal of lethargy and anxiety all day because of: Brody and the fact that I didn’t/wasn’t going to get a lot of work done this weekend. Brody was worrying me because he wasn’t eating or drinking hours after his surgery, he had his cone of shame on without anyone at home to watch him and I didn’t want him to try to get it off and be uncomfortable (or somehow choke himself, if that’s even possible). When I got home tonight, I noticed that he barely ate all day and he was totally sluggish, so I gave him his pain medication and then used that syringe to force feed him with baby food (mushed carrots). He finally started hopping around, pooping, and eating more after that sesh so I think it definitely helped. I don’t know what I would do without google search… probably freak out all day because I wouldn’t have thought of giving a bunny some Gerbers?
